Sweden's Anna Ternheim, who is now based in New York, is packing her bags and returning to Gothenburg for an exclusive summer performance at Way Out West. She will be armed with a new band just for the occasion.
Ternheim, one of the best Swedish singer/songwriters getting around, last played in Gothenburg in 2009. On that occasion she was alone with her guitar at Pustervik.
The program for Way Out West is almost finalized and among others includes Iggy & the Stooges, The Chemical Brothers, MIA, La Roux, and Mumford & Sons.

While Anna is writing new material for her new album, there aren't big updates. But german fans probably noticed her in german television. She is featured in a new commercial of a big cake manufacturer (Leibniz) in german television. You can hear her song "Today Is A Good Day" in the back!

Warm greetings from New York, where the heat is brutal!
The news flow on the site is as slow as my own thoughts. I´m in the process of writing new music and that absorbs me. I don´t know how it will sound or when I´ll be finished, in other words everything goes according to plan
There´s a "sandy" feel to it right now....a little strange but kind of nice.

Musikhjälpen is a charity event that is organized in cooperation with Sveriges Radio, SVT and Radiohjälpen. This time, Musikhjälpen supports the fight against malaria and it has started a charity campaign for the victims of malaria. The auctions of Musikhjälpen are filled with exclusive donations, personal gifts of famous artists, luxurious weekends, tickets for events and lots of other stuff.
Between the 14th and 20th december, you could take part in the exclusive auctions of Musikhjälpen and support the fight against malaria. All auctions started at 1 kron and the final amount went directly to the malaria-victims.
With this guitar, I wrote many of the songs of my first record. It also made me company during the recording of Somebody Outside, and it was carried to and for between rehearsal rooms and little liveclubs in Stockholm before I got a record deal. I've always thought that it sounds incredibly fine, is easy to play and feels good to hold in your hands. Have fun and take good care of it! /A
